About the position

The Data Scientist position is a contract role focused on leveraging data science and analytics to drive business outcomes, particularly within the auto industry. The role requires a strong background in research, data analysis, and technical skills, with an emphasis on effective communication and data storytelling. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite collaboration three days a week in either Warren, MI or Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data science and analytics to solve business problems and create visualizations.
• Conduct hypothesis testing and develop data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with business leads to translate data findings into actionable strategies.
• Engage in research and development of data architecture and management solutions.
• Present data findings and insights effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong technical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, particularly in the Data Bricks platform.
• Master's degree in a STEM field is required; Ph.D. preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the auto industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively.
