About the position

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and support our global growth and incentives programs. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind how we leverage data to optimize our promotional strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data-driven decisions lead to outsized revenue outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in shaping the data strategy for our Client's Incentives program, where you will own the development of all necessary queries to support program operations. As a Data Scientist, you will act as a strategic partner to various functional teams, initiating and executing deep analyses and models that prioritize opportunities and provide actionable recommendations. You will design and guide experiments and analyses to measure impact and drive product improvements. Your role will also involve measuring business performance, developing and refining core metrics, and creating comprehensive reporting to understand and monitor these metrics effectively. You will synthesize data learnings into compelling narratives, communicating insights throughout the organization and to senior executives. Additionally, you will conduct deep dives to solve complex problems that drive significant impact for our business. Your responsibilities will also include initiating, developing, and maintaining data pipelines with outstanding craftsmanship, ensuring that our data infrastructure is robust and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to help shape the data strategy for Client's Incentives program, owning development of all queries needed to support program operations.
  • Act as a strategic partner to functional teams: initiate and execute deep analyses and models to prioritize opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Design and guide experiments/analysis to measure impact and drive product improvements.
  • Measure business performance, develop/refine core metrics and create reporting to understand and monitor them.
  • Synthesize data learnings into compelling stories and communicate them throughout the organization and to senior executives.
  • Conduct deep dives to help solve complex problems to drive impact for our business.
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain data pipelines with outstanding craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • BA / BS degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to independently create plans for projects and a track record of overseeing large/complex analytical projects spanning multiple teams.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and practical experience applying them (in A|B testing, causal inference, etc.).
  • Experience in data analyses using SQL.
  • Experience in programming/modeling in Python.
  • Demonstration of core cultural values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Data engineering skills + a willingness to do lower level work to improve data foundations as needed.
  • Familiarity with incentive mechanisms, promotional structures, and rewards dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the crypto market and experience working with cryptocurrencies.
