About the position

Cotiviti is seeking a Data Scientist I - ML to join their Enterprise Data Science Team, focusing on building production-level machine learning solutions aimed at addressing real-world healthcare challenges. This role emphasizes the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance healthcare management and reduce costs, utilizing both structured and unstructured data from various sources. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve aggressive goals and make a direct impact on business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions to help clients identify payment integrity issues and improve healthcare outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders in Research and Development and Operations to assess business problems solvable by machine learning.
• Develop exploratory data analysis to verify hypotheses related to potential use cases.
• Document approaches, thinking, and results for collaboration with other data scientists.
• Prepare trained models and develop validation sets for quality assurance.
• Deploy models into production and support monitoring of model performance.
• Collaborate with other data science teams on their projects.
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to introduce new insights and technologies.
• Engage in design sessions to enhance the Cotiviti data science platform.
• Provide end-to-end solutions including data pipelines, model creation, and application for end-user consumption.

Requirements

• Experience in applied machine learning with a focus on production environments at scale.
