About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer III will be responsible for scaling and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms within the Data Ventures team at Walmart. This role focuses on building a suite of data products that provide actionable insights to merchants and suppliers, enhancing their decision-making capabilities across omni-channel performance. The engineer will collaborate with architects and other team members to implement MLOps best practices and optimize various machine learning models and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy scalable end-to-end data science solutions for data products.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and application developers to create ML and statistics-driven models.
• Contribute to the MLOps lifecycle, including data monitoring and refactoring data science code.
• Deploy holistic machine learning solutions after successful prototyping with Data Scientists and Architects.
• Follow industry best practices and stay updated with advancements in machine learning research.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field, or a Master's degree in a related field, or 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, MLOps, MLflow, Kubeflow, Python/R, SQL, Big Data, GCP, and Shell scripting.
• Experience integrating ML models with web services.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodologies and CICD in Machine Learning projects.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
• Successful completion of assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
