As a Data Scientist III of the Product Excellence team, you will be a part of the Data Science & Product horizontal within the Walmart US Transformation & Innovation organization. In this role, you will be developing, deploying, and managing data-driven and AI-powered capabilities across End2End (E2E) Delivery, Promise, Sourcing, Transportation & Inventory product portfolios with direct impacts to millions of our customers. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Data Science. This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available - Remote is NOT an Option. You will relish working with large volumes of data, enjoy the challenge of highly complex technical contexts, and, above all else, be passionate about data and analytics. You will be an expert on data modeling, ETL design, and business intelligence tools with the business to identify strategic opportunities where improvements in data infrastructure create outsized business impact. You will excel at architecting scalable and resilient data solutions for real-time and batch processing. Additionally, you will support the establishment of a MLOps framework to facilitate the ongoing enhancement, testing, and deployment of algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage data-driven and AI-powered capabilities across various product portfolios.
• Architect scalable and resilient data solutions for real-time and batch processing.
• Support the establishment of a MLOps framework for ongoing enhancement, testing, and deployment of algorithms.
• Identify strategic opportunities for improvements in data infrastructure that create significant business impact.
• Work with large volumes of data and complex technical contexts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
• Experience in building highly scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, Scala) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
• Experience utilizing public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to deploy scalable ML solutions efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Data science, machine learning, optimization models experience.
• Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
• Successful completion of assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
