About the position

The Data Scientist III position involves applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems, developing and deploying analytical models, and mentoring junior associates. The role requires a strong understanding of data strategy, analytical modeling, and data visualization, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of business cases and recommendations.
  • Own delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others.
  • Support process updates and changes.
  • Solve business issues using data-driven approaches.
  • Identify appropriate data sets for developing models and maintain data quality.
  • Articulate and apply data strategy principles to routine business problems.
  • Select and develop custom analytical models for structured, complex data.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, including statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Define and finalize features based on model responses and enhance analysis outcomes.
  • Identify experiment dimensions, finalize design, test hypotheses, and conduct experiments.
  • Perform trend and cluster analysis to provide business insights and recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates on modeling and analytics techniques.
  • Support deployment and scalability of analytical models into production.
  • Write and test code for required solutions and application features.
  • Translate business problems into data-related or mathematical solutions.
  • Assess model performance through fit testing and statistical inferences.
  • Generate graphical representations of data and model outcomes under guidance.
  • Present findings and influence team decisions using appropriate frameworks.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in analytics or related experience.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms (DSA) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Familiarity with version control, containers, and virtual machines (VMs).
  • Experience with OpenCV techniques and image processing methods.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
  • Experience in designing and implementing computer vision models in GPU-accelerated environments.
  • Knowledge of data science techniques including multi-dimensional regression, SVMs, KNN, PCA, and clustering techniques.
  • Experience in building and scaling Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and fine-tuning models like YOLO and R-CNN.
  • Familiarity with depth and stereo cameras and running computer vision pipelines on edge devices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using libraries like scipy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and pandas.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and server-client architecture.
