About the position

We are seeking a Data Scientist Lead for our Global Monetization Strategy & Analytics team, who will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and enhance our monetization products. This position is ideal for individuals with a robust analytical background who are passionate about applying mathematical modeling and statistical analysis to real-world challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic solutions and will be responsible for mentoring other scientists, sharing pioneering research, and identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation. In this role, you will lead brainstorming sessions and review research conducted by other scientists, ensuring that our analytical approaches are cutting-edge and impactful. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to stay updated on important trends and technologies, and how these can be utilized to influence business strategies. Your ability to communicate complex processes and systems effectively to business partners and senior leadership will be crucial in driving change and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization. As a Data Scientist Lead, you will also be responsible for incubating new technologies, working closely with research scientists, software developers, and product managers from conception to implementation. Your insights and analyses will not only guide business roadmaps but also help in shaping the future of our monetization strategies. Responsibilities

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and review research conducted by other scientists.
  • Share pioneering research with leadership to identify new opportunities.
  • Mentor senior scientists for their career development.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic solutions.
  • Represent and sponsor strategic solutions to leaders in the organization.
  • Interact with internal and external scientists to update on trends and technologies.
  • Drive change based on persuasive communication of insights and opportunities.

Requirements

  • PhD in Statistics, Management Science, Economics, Operations Research or other quantitative fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in analytics.
  • Strong track record in performing high-quality analysis of big data.
  • Experience in driving change based on persuasive communication of insights.
  • Experience incubating new technology with research scientists, software developers, and product managers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years of experience in online advertising.
  • Proficiency in R or Python, and SQL.
  • Experience in demand analytics, causal inference, and business experimentation design.
  • Strong research track record.
