About the position

The Data Scientist Level 3 position at Base-2 Solutions involves supporting a Natural Language Processing (NLP) project aimed at automating the tokenization of language data. The role requires developing automated solutions for annotating language data, enhancing existing models, and ensuring performance aligns with human-generated annotations. This position emphasizes machine learning, data modeling, and programmatic optimizations while collaborating with a premier agency system.

Responsibilities

• Support a Natural Language Processing (NLP) project to tokenize language data.
• Develop automated solutions for the annotation of language data.
• Improve existing models by scoring performance against human-generated annotations.
• Engage in machine learning, data modeling, and programmatic optimizations.
• Interact with a premier agency system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, data science, operations research, or computer science plus 10 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered with in-depth related experience.
• Proficiency in Python and experience in programming with at least one high-level language and one mid-level language.
• Experience in designing and implementing machine learning and advanced analytical algorithms.
• Strong background in data mining and advanced statistical analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Jupyter and HTML for web page maintenance.
• Experience in more than three relevant areas of data science is strongly preferred.
