About the position

The Data Scientist role at Procter & Gamble (P&G) is designed for recent graduates and focuses on leveraging data science techniques to drive business efficiency and impact. The position involves leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement machine learning models and optimization strategies across various business areas, including media, digital commerce, and supply chain. The Data Scientist will be responsible for translating analytical insights into actionable business recommendations and fostering the professional development of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Developers from hypothesis to finished product.
  • Partner with IT Functions and Business Leaders to build strategy and complete roadmaps for the organization.
  • Build and own an impactful Data Science team, driving professional development of team members.
  • Apply technical and business knowledge to feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and model building.
  • Translate analytic insights into actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.
  • Quantify improvements in business areas resulting from the use of algorithms and modeling.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven leadership in applying and scaling Analytic and Machine Learning techniques to deliver significant insights from data.
  • Knowledge and application of scientific computing methods such as Python, R, or Scala.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in applying analytic methodologies such as Machine Learning, Optimization, and Simulation to real-world problems.
  • Experience with large datasets and cloud computing.
  • Experience with DevOps environments: Git, CICD, etc.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and keeping up to date with technology trends.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
