QinetiQ US is seeking a results-driven Data Scientist to support National Security Group (NSG) strategies through the development of automated collection models, dynamic analytic models, workflow automations, and other automation processes and products as assigned. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational performance by refining and improving existing automated solutions through performance data evaluation, regular customer interaction, and a standardized maintenance cycle. The Data Scientist will apply data science and visual programming techniques to streamline analysis tasks as identified by stakeholders and government entities. In this position, the Data Scientist will enhance technical solutions to address challenges related to intelligence integration, automated collections, tipping and cueing, information sharing, and visualization. Responsibilities include conducting extensive collections and analytic modeling, data processing, data mining, and visualization. The role also involves performing gap analyses on existing technologies and processes, providing updates to customers on project progress, and communicating emerging technologies as they become available. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) processes that utilize automation tools or scripts to drive predictive, activity-based automated collection. Additionally, the role requires conducting customer elicitation to identify processing problems, potential workarounds, and gaps in tools and technology. Training and integrating new tools, processes, and capabilities for collection orchestration will also be part of the responsibilities, along with providing support for emerging requirements as assigned by the government.
