About the position

The Data Scientist/ML Engineer role is focused on leveraging machine learning and data science techniques to develop and enhance AI-driven solutions. This position requires a strong background in software engineering and proficiency in Python, with a specific emphasis on natural language processing and deep learning methodologies. The role is hybrid, based in San Francisco, CA, and is expected to last for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
• Utilize Python and Pyspark for data analysis and model development.
• Follow software best practices including version control, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Conduct prompt engineering and fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs).
• Engage in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) techniques for enhanced model performance.
• Participate in DevOps/MLOps practices to streamline model deployment and monitoring.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, data science, or artificial intelligence.
• 6+ years of experience specifically in machine learning and data science.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Pyspark.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and unit testing.
• Proficient in using NLP and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NumPy.
• Strong background in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with LLM skills including prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or similar cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps.
