Data Scientist, Product Analytics (Early Career) - USDS

About the position

The Data Science team at TikTok's U.S. Data Security (USDS) division is focused on building high-quality data solutions and scalable data products to support business growth. This early career opportunity involves conducting product analytics, deep diving into data sources, designing core metrics, and building advanced analytical solutions to drive product growth and improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product analytics to provide product recommendations that drive product growth.
• Deep dive into data sources, understand their limitations, and communicate complex data insights through exploratory analysis and research to suggest improvement.
• Design and monitor core metrics; understand root causes of metric movements.
• Design and build advanced analytical solutions and models to deliver superior business outcomes.

Requirements

• Previous internship(s) or 1-2 years of full-time experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or other science and engineering fields.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, learn autonomously, and highly organized.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience navigating and working with large data sets using SQL.
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis and communicate conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
