The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, preparing, testing, and implementing data pipeline processes to generate machine learning models, analytical tools, and reporting solutions for the surgical imaging business. This individual will be tasked with unlocking value from the central data lake and will have a fundamental understanding of data characteristics and data flow within end-to-end business processes. In this role, you will collaborate with internal data teams to build predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning models utilizing field service and equipment data to improve business efficiency. You will work closely with project managers and data experts from various teams to develop end-user services using AWS native technologies. Your knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical modeling, best practices, and programming will be essential to deliver analytic features on AWS products, within planned schedules and with excellent quality. You will lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in development and/or operational support activities. Driving data engineering standards within the team and meeting all business/project metrics will be a key responsibility. You will also coordinate Technical Design Reviews (Concept, Development, and Evaluation TDRs) and ensure privacy and security controls are in place for sensitive and PII/PHI data. Working with product owners and business leaders to understand market needs and vision, you will quickly translate that vision into demonstrable applications and generate reports, annotated code, and other projects to document, archive, and communicate your work and outcomes.
