About the position

The Data Scientist / Sr. Data Scientist position at Axtria focuses on managing consulting projects within the Decision Science practice, specifically delivering advanced analytics solutions tailored for the Life Sciences industry. The role requires a strong understanding of analytics applications in the Biopharma domain, including Brand Analytics, Real World Data Analytics, and Marketing Analytics. Candidates will lead a team, work closely with clients, and ensure high-quality project delivery while leveraging various data sources and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 team members.
  • Directly work with senior clients in a highly consultative and responsive manner to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.
  • Manage projects ensuring exceptional quality, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop detailed analysis plans tailored to business problems using a structured approach.
  • Lead discussions with clients, identifying business problems and building consensus during project delivery.
  • Understand various datasets such as LAAD, XPO, NPA, and promotional data.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, presenting findings clearly.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience with 2+ years of US local experience in pharma analytics.
  • Knowledge of the Biopharmaceutical domain, with preferred experience in Oncology, Inflammation, Cardio, and Bone therapeutic areas.
  • Exposure to syndicated data sets including Claims and EMR/EHR data, and experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with knowledge of statistical concepts and predictive modeling/machine learning.
  • Ability to frame and scope business problems, design solutions, and deliver results.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including visualization and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in analytical tools such as R/Python, Alteryx, and Dataiku.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital marketing analytics.
  • Familiarity with campaign effectiveness and marketing mix optimization.
