About the position
The JSE V&V Data Scientist position at SURVICE Engineering involves supporting the Patuxent Area Operation by utilizing data science tools and techniques for modeling and simulation verification and validation. The role is integral to the defense community, focusing on data mining, analysis, and visualization to enhance decision-making processes and ensure the accuracy of simulations against real-world data.
Responsibilities
- Modeling and Simulation Verification and Validation using data science tools and skills.
- Conduct Data Mining, Data Analysis, Data Transformation, and Data Visualization on large data sets (Big Data).
- Research and apply data science techniques to assess, extract, evaluate, and compare M&S outputs with representative real-world referents (reference data).
- Develop applications to automate solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in data science or related fields.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with data mining, data wrangling, data analysis, data transformation, data visualization.
- Experience or exposure to statistics; modeling and simulation; verification, validation, and accreditation.
