About the position

The Data Scientist role at Oracle focuses on modernizing the OHAI's Payer product portfolio through the development of AI native applications. This position involves architecting, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models to enhance the product suite, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning capabilities into Oracle's cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions for medical language learning through language models.
  • Interpret health documents like health plans and patient charts to derive meaningful insights.
  • Transform rules and workflows into knowledge graphs and automate downstream processing.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team for training data acquisition and data analysis.
  • Follow the process for ML use case evaluation and planning.
  • Design, develop, and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models for effective information retrieval.
  • Utilize vector databases and advanced indexing techniques for efficient information storage and retrieval.
  • Fine-tune and optimize large language models for specific healthcare use cases.
  • Implement and experiment with cutting-edge NLP, NLU, and NLG techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in data science with a focus on building and deploying language AI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or R.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, OCI) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of NLP fundamentals and experience with NLU/NLG techniques such as sentiment analysis and text generation.
  • Preference for expertise in developing RAG models and working with vector databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to building scalable machine learning systems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in launching products or platforms from 0 to 1.
