About the position

The Data Scientist position involves utilizing advanced analytical skills to extract insights from data, develop statistical models, and support decision-making processes within the organization. The role requires proficiency in data mining, business intelligence tools, and programming languages, with a focus on delivering actionable insights through data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Utilize business intelligence and data mining tools to analyze data and generate insights.
• Develop and apply statistical or machine learning methods to solve business problems.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and Tableau Server.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for large database applications.
• Implement web analytics tools and conduct A/B testing to measure effectiveness of strategies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related STEM field; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' work experience in analytics or data science.
• Direct experience with SQL programming and large database applications such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SPSS, Teradata, and Hadoop.
• Experience in data science and data mining, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Python and R.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages Java or C++ in a data mining context.
• Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and IBM Digital Analytics.
• Experience with A/B testing tools like Optimizely and Adobe Target.
