About the position

As a Data Scientist at Shipt, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced processes and algorithms to enhance our order offering and surge pay platforms. You will collaborate with a team to create predictive models for order clearance times and optimize pricing strategies through experimentation. Your contributions will include building efficient machine learning services, developing data pipelines, automating processes, and deploying models. You will leverage your skills in Python, SQL, and various tools to turn data insights into actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize predictive models for order clearance times.
• Experiment with pricing strategies to identify optimal decisions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for machine learning services.
• Automate processes related to model versioning and deployment.
• Generate ad-hoc research and automated dashboards based on data insights.

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in mathematical optimization, dynamic pricing, economics, or statistical modeling.
• Experience with common machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python as a high-level programming language.
• Strong SQL skills, particularly with Snowflake.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
