About the position

Noble Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team in Houston, TX. The role involves developing data science products, utilizing expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and cloud computing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-centric decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, cleanse, and preprocess raw data from different sources to deliver accurate and consistent datasets for analysis.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data science solutions using machine learning and generative AI technologies in cloud compute platforms.
  • Develop and engineer relevant features to improve the performance and predictive accuracy of regression and classification models.
  • Analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and relationships using statistical techniques such as descriptive and inferential statistics, analysis of variance, and time series analysis.
  • Build on the existing portfolio and contribute to the growth and improvement of data science offerings.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, understanding their requirements and translating them into data-driven solutions.
  • Produce charts, reports, and sensor data, with a focus on time series data.
  • Apply skills as both a data scientist and a data engineer, focusing on operational data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and continuously enhance technical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience developing data science products, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Strong knowledge of various machine learning technologies and the ability to select and implement appropriate techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and database languages like SQL, MySQL, or KQL.
  • Proficiency in cloud compute platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Experience in analyzing and visualizing sensor data, particularly long time series data.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively and communicate complex concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and a desire to implement efficient development practices.
  • Experience with containerized applications, such as Docker.
