About the position

Restaurant Depot is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Scientist to join their growing analytics function. This role involves working on various data science projects that impact stakeholders across the organization, focusing on translating business requirements into technical solutions and delivering real-world analytics projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Translate business value and requirements into technical solutions.
• Take analytics/data science projects from start to finish, including data cleaning, descriptive analysis, predictive modeling, and visualizations.
• Extract, clean, and aggregate data from different sources.
• Build and improve statistical and machine learning models, including time series models.
• Conduct demand forecasting and pricing analytics as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for data analysis and machine learning.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation, including writing stored procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage real-world analytics projects from inception to completion.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on workload.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with numerical optimization techniques.
• Experience with Plotly Dash for visualizations.
• Prior experience in demand forecasting and pricing analytics.
