About the position

The Data Scientist role at Insight Global involves leveraging large volumes of data to derive actionable insights that inform business decisions. Responsibilities

  • Understand the business reality and discover actionable insights from large volumes of data
  • Decompose aggregated measurement data into its singular components and assist with putting mechanisms in place to measure, track, and visualize
  • Help validation teams to determine how to apply the right statistical rigor in their work
  • Develop statistical and machine learning models to identify trends and patterns in qualitative data
  • Use rate information and other critical measurements to provide a standard template for site selection
  • Develop search algorithms for text-based voice of customer comments and perform necessary calculations to determine priority of findings
  • Innovate by adapting new modeling techniques and procedures
  • Use code to analyze data and build statistical and machine learning models/algorithms
  • Partner with developers and business teams to test models in production
  • Utilize data analysis and visualization tools (JMP, Tableau, Minitab, etc.) to turn data into information
  • Conduct predictive analysis and data extrapolation
  • Author and maintain technical documentation for data models and analytics solutions

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Analytics & Statistical Engineer or Data Scientist
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python / R, Minitab, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, JMP, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • Experience with HW design verification/validation
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
