TEKsystems client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to assist with their migration to Azure DataBricks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical data engineering, particularly in building data pipelines and stored procedures/views. This role is crucial as the team is currently focused on transitioning to the Azure DataBricks platform, and the candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to this journey. The Data Architect will be responsible for developing the Enterprise Data Model and will need to have a deep understanding of the current business processes. This position requires driving the maturity and development of the Modern Data Platform, contributing to the successful delivery of the enterprise data model, and exploring the technical needs of the business. The candidate will propose robust solutions through a functional data architecture strategy and design, gathering business and functional requirements to translate them into scalable and operable solutions with a flexible data architecture. Additionally, the Data Architect will need to understand customer pain points and build solutions that make large and complex data more accessible and usable by applications and teams. Collaboration with all levels of business stakeholders is essential to architect, implement, and test data-based analytical solutions from disparate sources. The role also involves developing strategies for data acquisition, conducting business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, database optimization, load strategy design and implementation, as well as security and change management. The candidate will design scalable Enterprise Data Architectures and solutions, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
