About the position

The position is for a Senior Member of the Engineering Group at Oracle, focusing on building high-quality database security components and solutions for enterprise software. The role involves providing technical guidance, defining project specifications, and ensuring quality integrations with Oracle database products. The candidate will work closely with teams to improve existing products and adopt new technologies, emphasizing a commitment to product quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise in building high quality database security components, products and solutions that meet stringent enterprise software requirements.
• Provide technical guidance for projects in multiple database security areas.
• Define specifications for new projects, and lead the design and implementation according to the specifications.
• Work closely with supporting teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Facilitate high quality integrations with Oracle database products and Oracle Fusion Middleware stack.
• Collaborate with team members and managers to improve current products and features, adopt new technologies and better architectural design.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience with cloud computing and large-scale system software (e.g. database systems, application servers and frameworks, operating systems, virtual networking).
• In-depth understanding and experience in system/product design towards strong security, performance and scalability, high availability and manageability.
• Solid understanding of security concepts, familiar with authentication, access control, applied cryptography, security protocols, and common IT security practices.
• Familiarity with application security and middleware security technologies, with exposure to application design patterns and insights into applications architecture and integration with cloud infrastructures.
• Proficient in Java, SQL, PL/SQL, XML.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry developments in information security, database technologies, big data, and cloud computing.
• Deep commitment to product quality and passion for excellence.
• Master's degree in computer science and engineering is preferred.
