Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance data security controls to protect sensitive data.
• Oversee the operation of data discovery solutions to identify and classify sensitive data.
• Collaborate with engineering, TechOps, and IT teams to integrate security controls into workflows.
• Identify and assess data security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security with a focus on data protection and control architecture.
• Experience with data discovery and scanning tools for data classification and governance.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and security technologies such as encryption and DLP.
• Proven experience engaging cross-functional teams to integrate data security.
• Understanding of data protection regulations and experience with compliance-driven security controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CIPT, CCSP) are preferred.
