About the position

We are seeking a Data Solution Architect to help create a retail-like experience for members, enabling them to submit highly accurate "trial claim estimates" to pre-determine the exact cost of healthcare services. This role involves early-stage analysis to evaluate potential solutions and data requirements for this innovative claims experience. The Data Solution Architect will be responsible for developing and implementing data architecture, strategy, and roadmap specifically tailored for healthcare claims data. This position requires a deep understanding of various data modeling techniques and the ability to ensure data quality and management using appropriate tools. The ideal candidate will utilize normalized OLTP, MDM, and DW dimensional modeling techniques, including Star & Snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, role-playing dimensions, dimensional hierarchies, and data classification. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica, Talend, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is essential. The role also involves working with high-scale or distributed RDBMS like Teradata and Snowflake, driving delivery in a matrixed environment, and collaborating with various internal IT partners. In addition, the Data Solution Architect will apply agile methodologies, refine and groom backlogs, and break down work into discrete user stories. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with short deadlines and multiple tasks is crucial. The candidate should be able to plan, estimate, and schedule their work independently while exhibiting strong problem-solving, influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
