About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our US Government customers in the DC Metro area. This role is pivotal for those who enjoy assisting U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and addressing technical challenges. The ideal candidate will leverage the latest cloud technologies to help these agencies understand application architectures and integration approaches, while also possessing the consultative and leadership skills necessary to guide projects toward success. Familiarity with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks is essential, as is a desire to contribute to the business development team that aims to establish AWS as a leading technology platform. As a Solutions Architect for our Data team, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), aiding customers in designing complex solutions. Your responsibilities will include working closely with National Security customers to enable large-scale use cases and drive the adoption of advanced AWS services. Our Specialist Solutions Architects are recognized as technical thought leaders within the Intelligence Community, promoting emerging technologies both conceptually and practically. They play a critical role in advancing cloud computing capabilities within the Intelligence Community, delivering cost-effective, mission-focused, and secure solutions. On our team, you will work backwards from our customers to develop AWS storage solutions and migrate complex workloads to the AWS cloud. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and the candidate must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

  • Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
