About the position

The Data Solutions Consultant at Built is responsible for coordinating and creating essential data services for clients, ensuring successful implementation and ongoing client success. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with internal operations and data conversion tasks, requiring strong analytical skills to navigate complex data landscapes. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs, drive project success, and maintain Built's reputation as a valuable partner in the client's workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of client contact for all data services throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Maintain an actionable understanding of Built's data landscape, architecture, and available solutions.
  • Work with clients to obtain and validate data and use cases for data services.
  • Analyze client data and collaborate with internal stakeholders to create a conversion plan.
  • Translate client business/reporting needs into data requirements/structures.
  • Coordinate the scoping, prioritization, delivery, and maintenance of client data services.
  • Create bottom-up estimates for custom solutions in data egress, ingress, and integration.
  • Act as the first line of defense for triaging issues related to data imports, connections, and integrations.
  • Establish and ensure adherence to a clear process for service prioritization and delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure orderly delivery of client data services.
  • Maintain a prioritized queue of data services deliverables with client and internal stakeholders.
  • Document internal processes and contribute to the overall strategy for implementations, integrations, and professional services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in managing or working with data pipelines.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Experience working with large, non-uniform data sets.
  • Experience working directly with clients to assess needs and define technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel manipulation, with advanced skills preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in ETL/ELT and supporting SQL (SQL-99).
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as the POSIX command line, RESTful web servers, and version control is highly recommended.
