About the position

The Data Solutions Engineering Manager at Object Computing Inc. is responsible for leading technical sales support and providing innovative data solutions to clients across various industries. This role involves collaborating with sales teams, conducting product demonstrations, and engaging with customers to understand their needs. The position requires a strong technical background in data engineering, particularly with Databricks and Snowflake, and offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify customer pain points and propose suitable data solutions using Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and workshops to showcase the capabilities of Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Provide deep technical expertise in Databricks or Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, cloud computing, and data engineering.
  • Engage with customer stakeholders to understand their technical and business needs and design tailored solutions.
  • Assist in RFP responses and develop technical sales presentations.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in cloud data platforms, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product roadmaps.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, white papers, and solution architectures for customer engagement.
  • Support the post-sales transition by working with implementation and customer success teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or data engineering role.
  • Strong professional experience and expertise in Databricks or Snowflake, including architecture, data pipelines, performance tuning, and integration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, or other programming languages used in data engineering.
  • Experience in Big Data, ETL, data lakes, and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Experience in machine learning and data analytics.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
