About the position

The Data Strategy and Engineering Consultant role at Deloitte focuses on enhancing organizations' people analytics capabilities. This position is part of the Human Capital Offering Portfolio, which aims to help clients optimize their workforce through data-driven insights. The consultant will engage with clients to assess their current analytics maturity, develop strategies, and implement solutions that leverage data science and analytics to inform decision-making across various human capital topics.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to advance their people analytics capabilities across strategy, people, process, data, and technology.
  • Conduct current state assessments to understand People Analytics maturity and communicate key themes from discovery work.
  • Support and lead the development of a client's people analytics vision, strategy, operating model, and roadmap.
  • Utilize HCM, People Analytics, or enterprise BI platforms to design, build, test, and deploy analytics dashboards and predictive models.
  • Assist with the end-to-end analytics process, including data cleansing, wrangling, and visualization.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to analyze client data across HR and People Analytics focus areas.
  • Define top client business questions by conducting interviews and synthesizing findings.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members across geographies.
  • Develop data visualizations that highlight key insights for informed business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Math, Business Analytics, IT, or a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Management Consulting or a related consultative analytics role.
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering and analysis using SQL, R, and Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • 2+ years of experience developing reporting and dashboards in Business Intelligence Tools like Tableau or PowerBI.

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and teams globally.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with project lifecycles.
  • Experience in HR domains such as recruiting, attrition, and compensation.
  • Familiarity with People Analytics data and technology architecture.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics techniques and approaches.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
