About the position

The Data Systems Analyst 3 position at UCI Health focuses on creating and maintaining research datasets and reporting using electronic health data, particularly from the Epic Clarity electronic medical records system. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department to deliver high-quality reports and datasets that support health research needs for the UCI Medical School.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain research datasets using electronic health data from Epic Clarity.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department.
• Deliver high-quality reports and datasets using UCI Health software such as Tableau, SSIS, SSRS, and Epic Reporting Workbench.
• Support health research data needs for the UCI Medical School.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience working with health data.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL and MS SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL RDMS.
• 1+ years of experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, and Crystal Reports.
• 1+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Experience using Collibra or similar Data Governance platform.
• 2+ years of healthcare research data analytics experience.
• 2+ years of healthcare analytics experience.
• 2+ years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, Crystal Reports, and Tableau.
