About the position

The Data & Systems Analyst Professional Intermediate role at Jacobs focuses on implementing and enhancing advanced project controls tools, particularly in the context of construction management. The position involves integrating software solutions, developing efficient workflows, and providing training to team members, all aimed at improving project delivery and visualization through advanced technologies like 4D Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Responsibilities

  • Implement existing software packages for Advanced Project Controls on assigned projects.
  • Research and develop better integrations between existing project delivery tools and new advanced project controls tools.
  • Standardize branding and color selection for advanced project controls tools output visualizations.
  • Configure animation templates for LSNA use.
  • Investigate and implement project coding procedures for BIM models and Primavera schedules.
  • Perform gap analysis exercises to enhance the Digital Delivery Integrations & Data Analytics product/services roadmap.
  • Provide training and outreach to LSNA employees for tools use and engagement.
  • Participate in DDIDA dashboard program development.
  • Develop and integrate 4D BIM models, synchronizing project schedules with 3D models.
  • Produce dynamic construction animations to facilitate understanding of project sequences and milestones.
  • Contribute to schedule visualization using Bentley Synchro 4D software.
  • Actively participate in initiatives of the Digital Delivery Implementation team.
  • Develop efficient processes for installation status visualization.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field and 1 year of work experience in project delivery/construction management.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture or related field and 3 years of work experience in project delivery/construction management.
  • Expertise in project controls systems and supporting data.
  • In-depth understanding of on-site construction processes and field administration requirements.
  • Proficiency in overseeing construction activities and ensuring adherence to project plans.
  • Skill in developing and implementing standardized coding systems for BIM workflows.
  • Technical proficiency in scripting functions for workflow automation.
  • Presentation skills for developing and presenting content.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 for project planning and control.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
  • Experience with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Sketchup.
  • Proficient in Adobe suite for creating presentations and animations.
