About the position

The SQL Developer will be responsible for analyzing data, working with software, and learning new technologies. This role involves collaborating with experienced leads and business resources to deliver quality solutions, as well as designing and implementing various systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and work with software to deliver quality solutions.
  • Design and implement various systems in collaboration with experienced leads and business resources.
  • Write complex SQL queries and develop complex PL/SQL objects, including DML and DDL.
  • Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
  • Utilize data modeling and data visualization tools, preferably Tableau or Power BI.
  • Implement ETL practices using tools like Informatica or Pentaho.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex DML and logical coding errors.
  • Document system architecture using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle databases.
  • Strong experience with database and SQL performance tuning.
  • Proficient in data modeling and data visualization tools (Preferred Tableau/Power BI).
  • Working knowledge of ETL practices (Preferred - Informatica, Pentaho).
  • Excellent understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
  • Strong troubleshooting debugging skills with complex DML.
  • Expert level SQL querying and database manipulation with very large data sets.
  • Familiarity with code repositories, ideally Git.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of relational database designs, ISDM methodologies, and database security.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 Years of Integrated Eligibility experience.
  • Experience developing reports submitted to federal agencies (SNAP/TANF/Medicaid).
  • Strong Data Validation, Quality Assurance, and Referential Integrity skills.
  • Experience with Enterprise Workflow Management Tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Advanced Understanding of Data Visualization Technologies such as Tableau.
  • Oracle certification(s) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
  • Experience in XML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks for web development.
