About the position

The Data Technology Administrator at Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) is responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting meter data to ensure accurate customer billing and data sharing. This role involves maintaining and utilizing various software applications related to meter data, supporting business operations, and developing data solutions and dashboards for internal stakeholders. The position requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency in managing meter data and resolving system errors, contributing to OUC's mission of providing reliable and sustainable services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot meter data to ensure accurate customer billing and data sharing.
  • Support, maintain, and utilize software application systems related to meter data.
  • Develop and enhance the Meter Data Platform (MDP) to support business operations.
  • Monitor data transfers for completeness and integrity from various systems.
  • Implement policies and objectives of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) initiatives.
  • Conduct daily data inspections and escalate necessary field operations activities.
  • Analyze, validate, and test meter data using SQL to discover anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain various reports and ETL pipelines using Talend.
  • Collect and assess business requirements to develop use cases and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience delivering data/application solutions.
  • One year of experience as a systems administrator for data management applications.
  • Ability to obtain certifications in AWS, Snowflake, Talend, Tableau, or Alteryx within one year of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Utility industry experience
