Under general supervision, the specialist will develop and maintain databases and systems to record, track, and evaluate statistical information pertinent to fleet management. The position requires analyzing maintenance data and generating reports from the Fleet Information Management System, interpreting data sets, and suggesting corrective actions to enhance effectiveness and eliminate deficiencies. In addition to data analysis, the specialist will maintain and collect fleet data associated with maintenance repair costs and fuel consumption. They will prepare reports to effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictive analyses using relevant data. Collaboration with organizational leaders is essential to identify opportunities for process improvements, and the specialist will be responsible for identifying unfavorable trends and developing action plans for procedural changes or corrective policies. The role also includes assisting in the design, formatting, and preparation of all fleet management statistical data collection. The specialist may provide cross-functional administrative support and assist with vehicle acquisition and disposition.
