About the position

The Data Visualization Analyst position at Essent Guaranty, Inc. is an individual contributor role focused on transforming legacy reporting into visually appealing and informative data representations. The role requires a strong understanding of data visualization techniques and tools, with an emphasis on interpreting and presenting complex data clearly. The analyst will collaborate with team members to design charts, graphs, and dashboards that meet business intelligence requirements, ensuring that the solutions align with user specifications and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop data visualization solutions that synthesize data concepts into clear communications for key business stakeholders.
• Work with team members and management to drive the development of business intelligence requirements, including clearly defined KPIs and objectives.
• Lead testing to ensure business intelligence solutions meet user specifications.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information technology, or related field.
• 5-8 plus years of experience in business intelligence projects as a developer/analyst.
• Strong knowledge in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik.
• Experience with programming languages such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python.
• Knowledge of project management and business analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines.
• Strong people skills and ability to develop and foster relationships across departments and teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and influence others in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work productively as part of a team and as an individual contributor.

Nice-to-haves
