About the position

The Data Visualization Analyst at MMGY Global is a senior role focused on managing and enhancing the MMGY research analytics platform. This position involves data analysis, visualization design, and collaboration with various stakeholders to create impactful visual reports that drive strategic decisions. The analyst will leverage tools like PowerBI and Tableau to deliver insights that support client success and improve the overall user experience of the analytics platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the MMGY research analytics platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
• Oversee user access, roles, and permissions within the platform.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to maintain platform infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI.
• Create visually compelling and informative reports to present data insights to stakeholders, clients, and/or platform subscribers.
• Continuously improve and enhance existing dashboards and visualizations for better user experience and insights delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored recommendations and solutions.
• Translate internal and external clients' questions into visual reports.
• Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the analytics platform.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization tools.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to expand the capabilities of the MMGY market research analytics platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 2-3 years of experience using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to create data visualization reports.
• 1-3 years of experience with data extraction and manipulation for BI tools.
• Proven experience in managing and administering business intelligence platforms, particularly with PowerBI.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization techniques.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting is a plus.
• Basic understanding of market research principles and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the Symphony Analytics platform is highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data manipulation languages.
• Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
