About the position

The Data Visualization Analyst at Arkatechture is responsible for creating dynamic and powerful data visualizations that drive business decisions for clients ranging from small independent companies to large financial institutions. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and delivering training on visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau. The position emphasizes a collaborative approach, with a focus on improving business processes and advocating for data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create interactive visualizations for non-technical users up to the executive level
  • Break the Excel mentality and build trust through intuitive and accurate reporting
  • Work both individually and on teams to deliver across multiple clients
  • Document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Understand business processes and advocate for opportunities for improvement
  • Extract and prepare data for analysis across multiple platforms (Database Connections, Excel, Flat Files, etc.)
  • Deliver Tableau Desktop and/or PowerBI trainings to clients
  • Contribute to research and development efforts
  • Communicate results clearly to all stakeholders, facilitators, and partners
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years using PowerBI required, Tableau experience is a plus
  • SQL knowledge and an understanding of data models
  • Ability to perform queries to explore data and validate dashboard results
  • Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to juggle competing priorities
