About the position

As a Data Visualization Analyst at Booz Allen, you will leverage your analytical skills to transform complex data sets into meaningful insights that empower clients to make informed decisions. This role involves UI design, development, quality control, and maintenance of BI dashboards, while working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide actionable data-driven recommendations. You will play a crucial role in supporting government entities with their Data Science and Analytics teams, using your expertise in data visualization and analysis to drive impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Use technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, generating cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.
  • Apply data visualization through formats such as Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Simplify technical requirements and trends based on audience for effective data analysis.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using knowledge of databases and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
  • Merge consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across civil services.

Requirements

  • Experience using Power BI to structure data, design, develop, and maintain interactive visualizations and dashboards.
  • Experience with selecting data visualization chart types to effectively communicate information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and as part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.
  • Experience in data quality control.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences in both verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational barriers to accomplish high priority and high visibility goals.
  • Public Trust Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using programming languages, including Python or R, to structure and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and modelling, including relational databases such as Databricks.
  • Active Agile Certification, including Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Developer, Certified Agile Leadership, Certified Agile Coach, Scrum with Kanban, or SAFe Agile Certification.
