About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst Co-Op at Johnson & Johnson in Irving, TX, is a pivotal role in the company's digital transformation journey. This position focuses on leveraging data technologies, particularly in data analytics and visualization, to enhance operational performance and drive improvement initiatives within the supply chain. The co-op will collaborate with various functions to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and develop sustainable digital solutions that support decision-making and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Frame problems to be solved analytically and own deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technology and business end users to understand information requirements and develop them further.
  • Partner with development and data management roles to identify and capture data required from internal and external sources.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and pipelines.
  • Use data visualization programs, tools, and techniques to generate dashboards, reports, and presentations that aid in data storytelling, decision making, and analysis.
  • Translate data into information and insights with clear scenario analysis and business impact, and execution plan to drive impact.
  • Develop sustainable digital solutions that can be reused with minimal effort and provide comprehensive documentation and training for users.
  • Continue to improve the process and methodology for analytics and modeling for such solutions, building capability within the organization.
  • Perform statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured data sets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns.
  • Create and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

Requirements

  • Studying in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of data visualization, databases, simulation/digital twin, and other related areas.
  • Proficiency in SQL; desired proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience using data visualization tools (i.e., PowerBI).
  • Knowledge of general supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing systems preferred.
  • Curiosity and high energy level required to proactively engage with business partners.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology, processes, and operate in an independent environment is essential.
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude to engage in hands-on fast prototyping.
