About the position

The Data Visualization and Dashboard Specialist at Nightwing is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau. This role supports a government contract team by providing real-time insights to customers, moving away from traditional presentation methods. The specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure data accuracy, and improve reporting processes, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing cybersecurity and intelligence services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into interactive graphic visualizations/dashboards.
• Design, implement, and maintain Tableau-based dashboards for ongoing project status reporting.
• Interface Tableau Dashboard with external portals, applications, and datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across visualizations.
• Provide training and support to team members on the use of dashboards.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and visualization techniques.
• Work closely with other teams to integrate Tableau with other data sources (e.g., Jira Align, ServiceNow).

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
• Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI
• Ten (10) or more years of software development experience required.
• Five plus (5+) years proven experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, and reporting.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate complex information into user-friendly visual formats.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Jira Align, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Experience working in a government contracting environment.
• Knowledge of project management and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps processes.
