About the position

The Data Visualization & Dashboard Developer role at Nightwing involves designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau. This position supports a U.S. Government customer on a critical development and sustainment program, providing real-time insights without relying on traditional presentation methods. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into interactive visualizations, ensuring data accuracy and consistency while also providing training and support to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into interactive graphic visualizations/dashboards.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Tableau-based dashboards for ongoing project status reporting.
  • Interface Tableau Dashboard with external portals, applications, and datasets.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across visualizations.
  • Provide training and support to team members on the use of dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and visualization techniques.
  • Work closely with other teams to integrate Tableau with other data sources (e.g., Jira Align, ServiceNow).

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Ten (10) or more years of software development experience required.
  • Five plus (5+) years proven experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate complex information into user-friendly visual formats.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Jira Align, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of project management and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps processes.
