About the position

The Data Visualization Manager at EssilorLuxottica will lead the visualization of data from various sources, transforming it into actionable insights for internal stakeholders such as Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. This role requires strong analytical and database skills to understand client motivations and data requirements, while also staying updated with data visualization tools and technologies. The position encompasses architecture design, data preparation, reporting development, and governance implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's internal data structure and sources.
  • Architect the SAP Business Objects Data Visualization platform and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Integrate new and existing information systems to connect to the Business Objects reporting platform for reporting and data analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into software reporting applications, KPIs, and interactive dashboards.
  • Manage the dashboard development life cycle from kickoff to support.
  • Utilize SAP Business Objects and SQL scripting to automate ETL tasks and pull data from the data warehouse.
  • Provide sales analysis via Business Objects reports to over 200 Sales representatives.
  • Deliver customized reporting and recommendations to Senior Management and Marketing teams.
  • Build reusable templates and components for Business Objects applications.
  • Ensure applications adhere to best coding practices and corporate standards.
  • Mentor the internal development team and promote self-service analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical roles, particularly in Business Intelligence and sales analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in database tools and SAP Business Objects.
  • Experience with complex and large data sources.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum software development teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
