About the position

The Data Visualization Manager at EssilorLuxottica will lead the visualization of data from various sources, transforming it into actionable insights for internal stakeholders such as Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. This role requires strong analytical and database skills to understand client motivations and data requirements, ensuring that business needs are met through effective data visualization tools and techniques. The position involves supporting architecture design, data preparation, reporting development, and governance implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's internal data structure and sources.
  • Architect the SAP Business Objects Data Visualization platform and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Integrate new and existing information systems to connect to the Business Objects reporting platform.
  • Translate business requirements into software reporting applications, KPIs, and interactive dashboards.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the dashboard development life cycle, from kickoff through requirements analysis, design, implementation, code review, and support.
  • Utilize SAP Business Objects and SQL scripting skills to write incremental data load queries and automate ETL tasks.
  • Provide sales analysis via Business Objects reports to over 200 Sales representatives.
  • Provide customized reporting and recommendations to Senior Management and Marketing teams.
  • Build reusable templates and components for multiple Business Objects applications.
  • Ensure applications are built using best coding practices and corporate standards.
  • Mentor the internal development team and promote self-service analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical roles, particularly in Business Intelligence analysis and sales analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in database tools and SAP Business Objects.
  • Experience in manipulating complex and large data sources.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT project management, business writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum software development teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
