About the position

As a Data Visualization Scientist at Booz Allen, you will leverage your analytical skills and data science expertise to transform complex data sets into actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their data-related challenges and utilizing various programming languages and tools to analyze and visualize data, ultimately providing clarity and understanding of the information at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Unlock insights from structured and unstructured data sets to solve client challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and questions.
  • Perform data exploration, cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
  • Work with Esri products like ArcGIS and Story Maps for data visualization.
  • Prepare data for analysis and conduct quantitative analyses.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience with Esri products, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and Story Maps.
  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Experience with quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted data sources.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
