About the position

The Data Visualization Specialist will design and implement data conceptualization strategies to meet the expectations of the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and its 23 agency procurement offices. This role involves importing complex data, analyzing it, and creating dashboards and reports to provide management with clear insights. The specialist will also build complex relational data models and serve as a technical advisor for procurement business requirements and new technology implementations, contributing to the continuous improvement of DTMB CPS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data conceptualization strategies and techniques.
• Convert procurement needs into dashboards and reports.
• Import complex data from various systems and analyze it.
• Provide management with clear understanding of data through advanced visualization techniques.
• Develop complex visualizations of program performance and efficiency.
• Build complex relational data models to identify correlations between data elements.
• Serve as a technical advisor for procurement business requirements gathering.
• Participate in special projects and conduct presentations.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the DTMB CPS Technology and Reporting Section.
• Work with peers and management to resolve program-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any major.
• Four years of professional experience, including two years at the experienced (P11) level or one year at the advanced (12) level.
