About the position

As a Data Visualization Specialist at Precision Solutions, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced analytics products that leverage data visualization and statistical programming tools. This position is hybrid, requiring you to be onsite in Washington D.C. 3-4 days a week, and it necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance. You will be part of a dedicated team that focuses on transforming enterprise data into actionable insights that support key mission outcomes. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of analytic work product development, from identifying key business questions to executing ETL processes, performing analyses, and delivering insights to decision-makers. You will pay particular attention to the relationship between data and the business processes that generate and utilize it. In this role, you will also participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to decisions regarding changes to cloud infrastructure to meet evolving user requirements. You will need to consider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and engage in budget discussions. Your ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in an easily understandable manner will be essential, as will your capacity to actively listen to identify business problems and their underlying causes. This position requires a high-performing team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, and who is eager to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced analytics products using data visualization and statistical programming tools.
  • Support all phases of analytic work product development, from identifying key business questions to delivering insights.
  • Participate in architectural design discussions related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Make decisions on changes to cloud infrastructure to accommodate user requirements.
  • Consider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and contribute to budget discussions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience with SharePoint for data management.
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to support advanced analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic communication skills, including the ability to present quantitative concepts clearly.
  • Experience or familiarity with analytics techniques such as statistics, simulation modeling, optimization, machine learning, or natural language processing.
  • Confidence to drive assignments to completion and construct strategic narratives from data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes in a technical environment.
