About the position

The Data Warehouse Analyst position is responsible for performing data integration activities, specifically focusing on ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) processes. This role involves data analysis, modeling, and mapping for the Data Warehouse solution, particularly for the Core Guidewire project. The analyst will collaborate with the Data Warehouse team to develop data models and maps, ensuring effective data management and communication with both business and IT communities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Guidewire source system data to understand the data structure, definitions, and anomalies.
• Interact with customers to define and understand general reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with technical team members to establish Data Warehouse data model requirements and designs.
• Design data structures, data models, and data mappings for the Guidewire Data Mart and Enterprise Data Warehouse solution.
• Design, develop, and publish standard data dictionary reports for each data model produced.
• Develop data management documentation for communication and education to the Business and Information Technology communities.

Requirements

• Minimum three years experience with the Guidewire application, data model, and data structures.
• Minimum two years experience developing data mappings, data models, and data dictionaries.
• Property & Casualty insurance experience is strongly desired, with two years experience preferred.
• Experience with large data warehouse projects is strongly desired, with two years experience preferred.
• Data modeling tool experience is preferred, such as ERWin, PowerDesigner, or Embarcadero.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis.
• Knowledge of Relational, Star Schema, and Dimensional database modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of Denormalized and Reporting table database modeling techniques.
