About the position

The Senior Technical Resource is responsible for the overall architecture of the Business Intelligence (BI) environment, focusing on designing the technical architecture and establishing best practices for the data warehouse. This role leads development projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality control and alignment with corporate financial results.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall data warehouse architecture including ETL processes, ODS, EDW, and Data Marts.
• Establish best practices and ensure data standardization across the data warehouse architecture.
• Perform basic Snowflake DBA functions such as creating tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Lead the data warehouse team in configuration and auditing to ensure data quality.
• Serve as the project lead for BI initiatives, including the creation of BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business partners to define key business drivers.
• Work with senior management and technical design teams to prioritize new BI requirements.
• Define metadata standards for the data warehouse.
• Understand source systems, particularly SAP, to facilitate data extraction.
• Design and direct information access and delivery efforts for the data warehouse.
• Participate in the selection of technical solutions for business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of Business Intelligence work experience.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Experience leading multiple successful enterprise data warehousing efforts.
• Expertise in data warehousing technologies including ETL, ODS, DBMS, and BI.
• Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional).
• Understanding of business data and its various sources, including SAP.
• Understanding of database technologies and data warehouse methodologies.
• Strong business and communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• High level of customer service to internal and external clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High initiative and ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work on simultaneous projects.
