About the position

As a Data Warehouse Developer at Guidehouse, you will be part of a collaborative IT data warehouse team responsible for integrating and analyzing data to meet business reporting needs. Your role will involve developing data flows, building data models, and maintaining the corporate data warehouse and data lake using Microsoft technology stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in development and maintenance of the corporate data warehouse and data lake.
  • Develop, test, and maintain relational and multidimensional OLAP models.
  • Perform complex data queries and business data analysis, including financial data.
  • Understand internal needs and translate them to technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience as a Data Warehouse developer or engineer using Microsoft technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance or a U.S. Federal Government Public Trust.
  • Experience developing SQL relational databases and optimizing complex queries.
  • Experience developing semantic data models.
  • Experience analyzing and modeling financial/ERP data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar computational discipline.
  • Experience developing Azure Analysis Services tabular models.
  • Experience with Power BI Premium advanced data modeling.
  • Experience creating Power BI reports.
  • Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Well versed with data structures and algorithms.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience interacting with end-users to understand and document business and functional requirements.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are located within 50 miles of a Guidehouse office.
