About the position

The Data Warehouse Developer at Farm Credit Mid-America is responsible for developing multi-dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting. This role involves coordinating with departmental analysts and enterprise stakeholders to build and curate data objects that enable business units to optimize delivery through self-service reporting, dashboards, and analytics. The position emphasizes a commitment to data quality and user empowerment through effective data management and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and modifying multi-dimensional database structures in support of reporting and analytics.
• Maintaining data lineage through source-to-target mapping documentation and documenting rules and procedures for data transformation, processing, and loading.
• Analyzing data quality concerns in the data warehouse in collaboration with application and business process owners.
• Empowering business users by building and maintaining a user-friendly self-service analytics platform.
• Optimizing data models and query performance to maintain uptime and agreed-upon data refresh timelines.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify data needs and translate them into actionable analytic solutions.
• Adhering to SQL coding standards alongside a healthy and robust peer review process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data sciences, or a related field.
• 4 years of relevant work experience building, deploying, and supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse capabilities.
• Experience providing clean, transformed data ready for analysis in collaboration with a data warehouse architect.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices for analytics code, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.
• Experience maintaining data documentation and definitions.
